Darth Maul #1 (2017) CGC 9.8 – Aspen Comics Sketch Edition
Darth Maul #1 (2017) CGC 9.8 – Aspen Comics Sketch Edition
Darth Maul’s hooded portrait takes on a stark, stripped-back look in Michael Turner’s black-and-white cover artwork. Against the largely white background, the heavy shadows, facial markings and fine linework become the focus, giving this edition a distinctly different presentation from the colour Aspen variant.
Published by Marvel Comics in April 2017, Darth Maul #1 features a story by Cullen Bunn and interior art by Luke Ross. The CGC label identifies this as the Aspen Comics Sketch Edition and credits Michael Turner’s cover. “Sketch Edition” describes the printed variant, not an original hand-drawn sketch on this copy.
