Amazing Spider-Man #31 (2019) CGC 9.8 – Smallwood Mary Jane Variant

Mary Jane meets the viewer’s eye while an upside-down Spider-Man leans into the frame on Greg Smallwood’s Amazing Spider-Man #31 variant. The vivid red background and close-up composition give this cover a playful, portrait-like character, setting it apart from a typical action scene.

Published by Marvel Comics in December 2019, this issue features a Nick Spencer story with interior art by Ryan Ottley and Cliff Rathburn. The CGC label identifies the Smallwood Variant Cover, notes the “Amazing Mary Jane” variant theme, and also lists the issue as Amazing Spider-Man #832.
